Water Sport

OVER the last 10 years snorkeling, spearfishing, windsurfing and deep sea fishing have all become very popular in Bali. Nusa Lembongan, the small island directly opposite Sanur, has developed into a haven for surfers and divers alike. Group charters and safari tours are available, together with equipment and instruction if needed.

Sanur and Tanjung Benoa have the greatest range of water sport operators. If you're really into water sports, stay in Nusa Dua, Sanur, Tanjung Benoa, Candidasa or Lovina. Dozens of sea sport agencies line offering waterskiing, jet skiing, parasailing, windsurfing and chartered sailboats. They also rent speedboat, paddle cat, canoe, and banana boat.

Try a banana boat, canoe, surfbiking, wakeboarding or pedding without touching the waves and can be enjoyed by all ages and available for hire with instructor for safety. For those of you who don't like the salt, these sports are also available at Lake Bratan.
